Alien Love - Movie Poster

For this project, I took a picture of myself and my girlfriend, and placed it over an image that I found on interfacelift.com . After this, I created a blank layer and applied a green brush where the skin was, and I set this layer to Overlay and 60%. I found a free image of a UFO and placed this in the upper left corner of the image, copied it, and created a beam on a new layer. For the beam coming from the ufo, I created a shape with the polygonal lasso tool, filled it with the brush, added a gradient, then dropped the opacity. On a new layer, I applied an overall blue/black gradient just for effect. I added an alien face in the upper left corner, and also added one with hands in the water. I dropped the opacity on these and used a mask with a soft-edge brush to select the area I wanted to be visible.
