Northern Banded Watersnake

This piece took quite some time, due to the scales on the little guy! I finally found little shortcuts that didn't compromise the quality of the design, so I was really happy about that! To start, I used the original picture and traced it in Adobe Illustrator, placing the scales, eye, rock, water, etc. in place. I used watercolor brush effects for the rock and water. I used three PANTONE colors, being 7401 C for the inner eye, 7531 C for the outer eye, and Black 6 C for the pupil of the eye.
