Pet Portrait

For this project, I started with a blank, rectangular, portrait-style canvas. I used the original picture of my rooster as a template to trace over on new layers. I messed around with some different bristle brushes until I got an effect that I liked, and then used the eyedropper tool to pull some color from the rooster's body. I traced his eye with the pen tool, added a stroke, used the pen tool to trace his pupil, then I added a reflection, also using the pen tool, but with a white fill. I added the dirt and grass on a layer that was placed below/behind the rooster's body layers. That's pretty much it!
